Raoul V. Chauvin III, P.E.

As Principal Partner of Infinity Engineering Consultants, Raoul V. Chauvin, III, P.E. is responsible for all mechanical system designs. Included in those responsibilities are client interface, site inspection and evaluation, contract negotiation, project management, design, and drafting supervision. He participates in project review meetings and coordinates project-relevant activities between the Company and the client.

Mr. Chauvin’s professional 30+ year career has revolved around providing cost-effective, efficient design solutions for municipalities, offshore facilities, inland marine terminals, and chemical plants. Additionally, Mr. Chauvin has served as the President of the New Orleans chapter of the Louisiana Engineering Society and is professionally registered in the following eleven states.

William J. Thomassie, P.E.

As Principal Partner of Infinity Engineering Consultants, William J. Thomassie, P.E. is one of the firm’s registered Supervising Professionals and is responsible for the management of all engineering production. For special projects, his civil/structural education, training, and experience are relied upon to directly provide cost estimation, design supervision, and public outreach coordination.

With many of Infinity’s projects requiring up to $45,000,000 for installation or modifications, Mr. Thomassie’s guidance in the shaping of designs, along with construction support, has enabled project completion on schedule and with minimal adverse impact on commerce in the area. Additionally, Mr. Thomassie holds active professional engineering registration in the following fifteen states.

Rachel Kenney, P.E.

As Infinity’s Chief Engineer, Ms. Kenney is responsible for overseeing all engineering projects for the firm. Ms. Kenney brings over twenty years of structural and civil design engineering experience to the role. Ms. Kenney holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville.

Throughout her career, Ms. Kenney has used her expertise in specification development and bid package development to lead the civil/structural design work for a wide variety of projects. Such projects include bridges, marine docks, pumping stations, oil and gas facilities, and wastewater treatment plants. Additionally, Ms. Kenney holds experience in overseeing projects from the initial design phase through final construction utilizing the construction management-at-risk process.



Louis Jackson, P.E.

As the Operations & QA/QC Manager, Louis Jackson, P.E. ensures all designs and deliverables achieve Infinity’s high expectations of effective and efficient engineering. Mr. Jackson holds more than 25 years of engineering design, project management, and quality control experience. Among that experience, Mr. Jackson held the position of Director of Engineering for the Port of New Orleans.

Mr. Jackson holds substantial experience in disaster recovery planning and response. With his extensive work in producing stormwater management planning and design, Mr. Jackson has become a credible resource to both governmental and non-governmental organizations seeking to further stormwater management across the Gulf Coast Region.


Nickie Monica

Director of Business Development

Mr. Monica serves as Director of Business Development heading Infinity Engineering’s Capital Region office in Baton Rouge, LA. Prior to joining Infinity, Mr. Monica worked in the petrochemical industry for more than 20 years. He has also served as Louisiana State Representative, two terms as St. John Parish President, and a term on the St. John Parish Council.

While serving as State Representative, Mr. Monica initiated and enhanced relationships with local, state, and executive leaders; worked closely with pro-business interests to pass legislation critical to a strong economy and workforce; and carried legislation that improved the safety and well-being of residents. Mr. Monica was appointed to the House Commerce, Insurance, Judicial, and Special Veterans Affairs Committees.

While serving as Parish President, Mr. Monica was Chief Executive Officer of St. John Parish, which called upon him to work closely with his directors to set departmental goals, implement action plans, and ensure goal achievement. Mr. Monica built relationships locally, statewide, and nationally to secure public and private investments in St. John Parish. With decades of experience in the River Region, Mr. Monica has a proven track record as a business development professional.

    Mr. Contreras holds over 25 years of civil engineering experience that encompasses program management, design, and construction administration. Throughout his career, Mr. Contreras has worked on various projects, including roadways, bridges, drainage improvements, water and wastewater improvements, site development, and flood control structures.

    As the Civil Engineering Manager, Mr. Contreras partners with Infinity’s Project Engineers to ensure every design and deliverable is executed effectively and on time. Mr. Contreras holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of New Orleans.

    As Project Delivery Manager, Ms. Gallo leads Infinity’s project management discipline, focusing on effective project completion and exceptional client satisfaction. Ms. Gallo brings over eight years of experience in project management and civil/structural and marine engineering design to this client-focused role.

    Throughout Ms. Gallo’s project managing career, she has led several multi-disciplinary teams from the design phase through construction administration. Additionally, Ms. Gallo’s structural engineering expertise has been lent to maritime design projects such as ship docks, water intake platforms, breasting and mooring structures, and sheet pile bulkheads. Ms. Gallo holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of New Orleans.

    Mr. Hurtt holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of New Orleans. Serving as a member of the civil/structural team, Mr. Hurtt is responsible for developing cost estimates, specifications, and design packages.

    Mr. Hurtt seeks to work closely with clients to understand their needs and expectations to ensure projects are completed in a safe and cost-effective manner. Mr. Hurtt has experience coordinating with various disciplines, including electrical and mechanical, to ensure all phases of a project interconnect together seamlessly. description

    Mr. Riviere holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of New Orleans. As part of Infinity’s civil team, Mr. Riviere has been involved in the inspection, design, construction, and repair of a variety of infrastructure-related projects, including roads, bridges, and port facilities.

    Mr. Riviere also holds extensive experience in the design and installation of overhead contact systems and the integration of other systems involved with streetcar and light rail systems.

    Mr. Haydel holds a Master’s of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois and a Bachelor’s of Science in Physics from the University of Dillard. With over 14 years of experience in water resources, Mr. Haydel expertise lies in urban hydraulics and hydrology modeling, sediment transportation, stormwater system design, and river morphodynamics.

    Additionally, Mr. Haydel lends his expertise to timely and comprehensive grant proposals, infrastructure assessment, disaster damage assessment, construction management, and project management.

    Ms. Kelly holds eleven years of mechanical engineering experience, including more than five years in major capital oil and gas consulting. As Mechanical Engineering Manager, Ms. Kelly oversees all mechanical designs and deliverables.

    Ms. Kelly has served as a mechanical technical lead in phases ranging from design conception to field installation and startup. When called for, Ms. Kelly ensures all mechanical designs seemly integrate with Infinity’s civil, structural, and electrical components. Ms. Kelly holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Union College in Schenectady, NY.

    Mr. Gholston holds twenty-one years of mechanical engineering experience, including nine years in aerospace facilities design, six years in oil and gas consulting, and five years in MEP consulting. Mr Gholston is adept at completing all components of a project including engineering, drafting, project management, and construction management, and he takes pride in delivering a clean set of construction documents.  Mr. Gholston holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana State University.

Electrical Department

    Mr. Lawrence holds over 32 years of experience in electrical engineering, project management, quality control, and supervision of electrical design. Over the years, Mr. Lawrence has worked on numerous projects involving the installation of generators, lighting, and instrumentation. With Mr. Lawrence’s electrical engineering expertise comes a vast knowledge of power and control systems, SCADA technology, and electrical instrumentation for a wide range of utility infrastructure.

    As Infinity’s Principal Electrical Engineer, Mr. Lawrence is responsible for electrical scope development, schedule coordination, budgeting, estimating, and cost control.

    Mr. Torres holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Louisiana State University. Mr. Torres’ previous experience includes large-scale capital projects in the oil & gas industry, nuclear power plants, and laboratory facilities. He specializes in power distribution design, specifying equipment, electrical system studies, and calculations.

    At Infinity, Mr. Torres is responsible for the design and implementation of safe and effective electrical power systems that remain within budget and on schedule.

    Mr. Lacomb brings over fourteen years of electrical and instrumentation experience to Infinity’s electrical team. Mr. Lacomb’s previous experience includes a multitude of facilities for municipalities and industrial end-users. For the oil and gas industries, Mr. Lacomb has designed control and safety systems, as well as provided model development for arc flash analysis. For each project, Mr. Lacomb seeks to collaborate with the owner and other firms involved to ensure seamless installation and usability upon completion.

    Mr. Olson holds an Associate of Technology degree in Industrial Drafting. His responsibilities include managing the design production team, drafting task assignments, CAD-related technical assistance, drawing QA/QC, maintaining CAD hardware and software, and enforcing drafting standards. Mr. Olson specializes in structural and civil design using up-to-date versions of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil3D, AutoCAD Advance Steel, and Revit.

    Mr. West has more than 35 years of experience in the design and construction of mechanical and structural systems. He has prepared design packages for plants, liquid and bulk handling storage/terminals, offshore oil and gas facilities, and ocean-going vessels.

    Mr. Vu holds a certificate in CADD CTS from Delgado Community College. As a drafter, he uses Revit, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D for civil designs, drafting plans and details for structures, installation, and road construction projects.

    Mr. Barcia holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in Construction Engineering Technology. Along with an Associate of Applied Science in both Architectural Design as well as Construction Management and Computer Aided Drafting and Design from Delgado Community College. Along with his educational degrees, Mr. Barcia holds certification as a Certified Professional Building Designer from the American Institute of Building Designers and certifications from Autodesk for Revit Structural Design and Mechanical Design. As a designer, he uses AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and REVIT to help the design team in civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing designs.

Advanced Measurements Team

    Mr. Vial holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology from Southeastern Louisiana University. As an Advanced Measurements Technician executes in-field advanced measurements assignments including, LiDAR drone survey, 3D laser scanning, hydrographic survey, topographic survey, and aerial drone inspection/imaging. Additionally, Mr. Vial serves as one of Infinity’s four FAA sUAS Pilots, as well as maintains Infinity’s advanced measurements hardware and software inventory.

Additionally, Mr. Herbert oversees the content and design of Infinity’s digital media.
