Survey Instrument Technician

Infinity Engineering Consultants is hiring an Entry Level Advanced Measurements Technician to join our team! The selected candidate will be involved in 3D Laser Scanning, Aerial LiDAR Scanning, Hydrographic Surveying, and Topographic Surveying projects across the gulf coast. Responsibilities of the Advanced Measurements Technician include assisting in mission planning and execution, preparing/processing point cloud data, topographic mapping, preparing survey maps to include drafting in AutoCAD & Civil3D, and performing quality control and quality assurance, etc. It is preferred, but not required, to possess knowledge of Trimble Business Center, Trimble Access, DJI Terra, and/or AutoCAD. This role will report to the Advanced Measurements Manager.

Responsibilities will include:

Assists in planning of survey data acquisition projects
Completes work tasks on time, within budget, and to the QA/QC standards determined by the Advanced Measurements Manager or delegated supervisor
Prepares plans, exhibits, maps and surveys to comply with company standards and to meet client expectations.
Processes and analyzes survey data using Trimble Business Center (TBC)
Prepares field packages and information, data reduction efforts, and filing/archiving with accuracy and in a timely manner
Will be expected to obtain FAA sUAS pilot license
Provides support as needed related to the storage, transportation, assembly, and operation & maintenance of field equipment
Participates in training activities and actively seeks opportunities to contribute to the achievement of Infinity Engineering Consultants vision and goals
Assist with occasional drafting assignments
Assist with occasional assignments as a construction inspector

Qualifications:

1 to 3 years of relevant experience
Must have a High School Diploma; BS or AA in Survey/CAD or related field preferred
Working knowledge of MS Office; experience with AutoCAD, and Civil3D preferred
Effective written and verbal skills
Ability to multi-task and set priorities effectively and work in a team environment
Must be able to pass a drug test.
Must be dependable, resourceful, tech-savvy with the ability to learn on the fly.
Must be physically able to work outdoors and on construction sites under all weather conditions and terrain.
Ability to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 50 lbs.; includes body weight, equipment, tools and boxes, in addition the ability to stand for long periods on varied surfaces.
Must be able to work overtime as required.
Must possess a valid LA driver's license and meet the Company's driver eligibility requirements

Structural Engineer (mETAIRIE, la)

Infinity Engineering Consultants is seeking candidates for a full-time Structural Engineer position for industrial, commercial, and municipal projects in the New Orleans area. Candidate must have a background in structural design and project management. Design subjects are mainly concrete and steel foundations and structures, including waterfront structures, industrial platforms, LOW-RISE commercial buildings, small bridges, and equipment and piping supports.

Qualified candidates should have a BS or MS degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, EI designation required, PE license preferred, 1-15 years of engineering experience, great communication skills, a positive attitude, and the desire to excel.

Responsibilities will include:

Structural design and management of various projects to be performed by the engineering team
Tracking schedules and budgets
Managing client relations
Producing reports, detailed drawings, technical specifications, and other required project deliverables.

Civil/Structural CAD Designer (Metairie, LA)

Infinity Engineering Consultants is seeking a Structural CAD designer with 2 to 12 years of experience in working with AutoCAD, Advance Steel, and/or Revit to work within the firm’s Metairie, LA office. The position will require working on a variety of projects in the municipal, commercial, and industrial industries.

The ideal candidate must have an excellent understanding of civil or structural design and construction drawing preparation including either 1) site grading, roadway plans and profiles, and municipal drainage systems or 2) foundations, concrete and steel framing, building, and industrial structures. Experience and proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D or Revit is essential.

The position occasionally requires the need to visit the site to collect data and may include walking on or in: elevated platforms, MCC rooms, loading docks, or petroleum and chemical production facilities. This position does not include offshore visits. The ability to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Work Identification Credential) card is mandatory.

Piping Designer/Plant3D Operator (mETAIRIE, la)

Infinity Engineering Consultants, LLC is seeking a Piping Designer/Plant 3D Operator with a minimum of 2 years of experience. The position will require working on a variety of projects in the petrochemical, municipal, and commercial industries.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop designs and plans for piping systems and related plumbing infrastructures.
Create piping/equipment models, drawings, isometrics, and schematics using AutoCad Plant 3D.
Candidate must have elevated attention to details and work well within a team environment.
Provide general assistance to the Drafting group when necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience using AutoCad Plant 3D preferred.
Enthusiasm toward learning Piping Design and various forms of 3D modeling is required.
Associates degree or Certificate in Computer Aided Design preferred.
Experience working in industrial plants a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Involves visits to industrial facilities, walking on elevated platforms and walkways, and working near equipment and machinery.
