Adopt a NOLA Family for Christmas - Children's Bureau of New Orleans

Seven years ago, when Infinity was located on the second floor of the Hartwig Moss building on Canal Street, the Children’s Bureau of New Orleans moved in across the hall. With their arrival in the building came the regular siting of children and families in the elevator and the sounds of families drifted into Infinity’s lobby. The Children’s Bureau is a 120 year old organization that services the mental health needs of children and families throughout New Orleans. They provide an invaluable service to the children of this city.

That first year of sharing the floor with our new neighbors an Infinity employee learned about their Christmas adopt a family program and he and his family decided to participate. When Bill and Raoul learned about the program, they were happy to support their new neighbors. Since 2012, Infinity employees have donated to the fund to adopt families for Christmas and Infinity has matched them.

Last Christmas was our final in the building across the hall from Children’s Bureau, having bought our own building in Metairie. But just because the Children’s Bureau is no longer close in vicinity does not mean that they are not close to our hearts. Infinity has continued the tradition of adopting a family and this year was able to provide for a total of five children from two different New Orleans families.
