Electrical Engineer

Infinity Engineering Consultants is seeking candidates for full-time Electrical Engineers, from entry level staff engineers up to group management positions available.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Preparation of drawing and specification packages for engineering, procurement, and construction.

  • Preparation of bid packages for requesting proposals for construction.

  • Development of one line, riser and schematic diagrams.

  • Performance of short circuit, relay coordination and arc-flash studies.

  • Completion of design tasks in accordance with accepted engineering practices and standards.

  • Coordination of design activities with other disciplines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Candidate MUST have a BS degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • Registration with the Louisiana Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors (LAPELS) as a PE (minimum) for management positions.

  • Experience in the design of industrial facilities, such as petrochemical processing plants and storage facilities is a must. Experience in the design of commercial buildings is a plus.

  • Must be fluent in the use of Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Word and other common computer programs.

Administrative Assistant

Infinity is seeking candidates for a full-time Administrative Assistant.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The administrative Assistant performs a variety of administrative functions in support of engineering professionals, business development and administrative staff. This position requires a valid driver’s license, reliable automobile and current auto-insurance policy for daily errands (mileage reimbursed).

RESPONSIBILITIES

The following briefly describes responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant:

  • Greeting visitors and directing incoming calls, using a multi-line phone system.

  • Planning and preparing for seminars or client meetings within the office.

  • Maintaining inventory of office supplies while researching vendors for cost effectiveness.

  • Adhering to established organizational policies, procedures and guidelines, particularly those related to confidentiality and privacy.

  • Providing administrative support to technical staff, including word processing, filing, correspondence, proofreading, and printing and binding documents.

  • Providing administrative support to the marketing department, including proofreading and production of marketing materials and statements of qualifications.

  • Data entry and management using database software.

  • Performing other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to perform job duties with a positive demeanor and attitude.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Candidate must have reliable transportation, possess a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

  • Ability to concurrently and effectively manage multiple tasks.

  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. A skills test will be administered as a part of the interview.

  • Some marketing experience preferred, but not required.

  • Professional, cordial phone etiquette.

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in an office setting.

This is a full-time position with competitive pay commensurate with experience and room for advancement in the future. Hours for this position are Monday-Thursday, 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. (with a 1 hour lunch), and Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
